David Soro

David is half Spanish, half French. He grew up in Madrid and, having always wanted to be an architect, studied architecture there at the E.T.S.A.M. After working in Spain for four years, where he started to be involved with BIM software, he moved to the UK and joined vHH in 2011. He was attracted by the practice’s portfolio of education and public buildings, as well as the projects for listed buildings and sensitive sites. ‘I had done several restoration projects in the past and was looking for somewhere that did restoration work as well as new buildings.’

David was immediately impressed by the convivial atmosphere within the practice which, he believes, ‘immediately tells you a lot about the way the practice works’. Since being at vHH he has been particularly impressed by the culture of focusing not only on the design of a new project, but the whole construction process.

David has developed his BIM skills in the UK and he is currently the vHH BIM coordinator.
