James (Josh) McCosh
Nicola joined vHH in 2015 after completing her first year in a conservation-led practice in Cambridge where she was involved in the early design stages of a wide variety of projects, from housing, visitor centres and museums in sensitive historic settings, to competition-winning extensions and Oxbridge colleges. One particularly interesting project was the development of a theatrical visitor experience in a cattle shed. She completed her BA in Architecture at Cambridge in 2014.
Nicola was attracted to vHH by its expertise in education projects and visitor centres, its work in sensitive settings and the friendly atmosphere within the office. During her year out at vHH she worked on various education buildings at construction stage, as well as a number of visitor centres and heritage projects in the design stages. In 2016 Nicola began her Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture (RIBA Part II) at The Cass School of Architecture, where she studied ‘deep block’ housing. She has returned to vHH for the summer, helping on a science and design technology extension for a private college.
