RSPB Purfleet Hide

About The Project

Our second building for the RSPB on Rainham Marshes was won through a competition to design a new bird hide. The hide is buried in the existing bund and is the first stop for most visitors to the park after our 2006 Environment and Education Centre. The 'Rainham Eye' includes a large oculus window and provides generous views of the marshes for all visitors, as well as more secluded areas for keen birdwatchers.
