Biography

Jake joined vHH after completing his Part 1 studies at the University of Kent in the summer of 2019. His interest in Architecture grew when in the summer 2018 he was selected by “Critical Concrete” to take part in a three-week summer school held in Porto, Portugal which involved the refurbishment of a social home for a family in need. There he worked alongside local and international professionals, students and the local community, and developed a love for sustainable architecture and creative problem-solving through materiality.

Jake was drawn by vHH’s quality of projects and appreciation of the old and new, alongside their integration of social concerns into their designs and their focus on viewing architecture in a holistic manner.
