Our busy construction site at Houlton School in Rugby had a surprise visitor recently, as Dom Littlewood from BBC’s ‘Dom Digs In’ programme joined the building team to experience the reality of a working day on a large-scale construction site. After chatting to Morgan Sindall’s fantastic project manager Andrew Anderson, Dom gets a lesson in bricklaying and plastering, and finds out what it’s like being part of the team constructing a £39m school which includes refurbishment, new build and the restoration of a Grade II listed historic building.
His chat with new principal Michael McCulley near the end of the programme illustrates just how excited we and the entire team are, to see this fantastic project completed and opening to the first cohort of pupils in September this year. Watch Dom’s visit to Houlton here starting at 18 min 45 secs.
