On Friday we celebrated the start on site of the new 600 place Sir Thomas Fremantle School with a ceremonial cake-cutting on site. Great progress is already being made by the team from Kier Construction with the steel frame beginning to show the form and scale of the building. The building responds to a very challenging site with numerous restrictions, including a major gas main. Darren Lyon, Headmaster at Sir Thomas Fremantle School congratulated the whole team on the huge effort made to get to this stage.
Our design focuses around a welcoming entrance foyer, creating a vibrant ‘hub’ giving access to performance and sports facilities for the school and local community.
With work now well underway, we expect the project to be complete in summer 2017.
