vHH wins inaugural RIBA Regeneration Award!

Houlton School team thrilled to be first recipient of new award

We were elated that Houlton School was announced as the winner of the first ever RIBA Regeneration Award at the Stirling Prize ceremony on 19th October.

The judges commended the Houlton School scheme for its sensitive reimagining of the iconic Grade II-listed Rugby Radio Station transmitter building – once the largest radio transmitting station in the world.

Houlton School is a great example of clever and successful creative reuse, made possible by a forward thinking developer and design team. It has already been recognised through many awards as an inspiring example of what can be achieved through the reuse of existing buildings combined with creative, energy efficient design solutions. It exemplifies our approach as a practice, and showcases an exciting future for architecture.
