About The Project
The Sternberg Centre for Judaism is host to Europe’s largest non-orthodox Jewish community housing a school, a rabbinical college, a synagogue and a cultural and religious centre. Having had separate applications rejected by the planners the client came to us to put in an umbrella planning application to plan and coordinate the redevelopment of the whole site including the design of the New North London Synagogue, two buildings by other architects, and the restoration of the listed 18th century Manor House and its extensive grounds, which are a Scheduled Ancient Monument. We successfully obtained full planning and listed building consents for all the works.
