The GDST (Girls’ Day School Trust) is the UK’s leading network of independent girls’ schools, with 24 schools and two academies in England and Wales. As one of the UK’s largest educational charities, it reinvests all its income in its schools. In 2013 we were appointed to revitalise the traditional buildings of Kensington Prep School to develop the school’s facilities in conjunction with their ‘Building Space for Growing Minds’. What we have delivered is a series of small interventions which cumulatively have a big impact, transforming both the teaching and social spaces in the school.
