Purfleet Hide

This is van Heyningen and Haward’s second project for the RSPB at Rainham Marshes. The hide is designed to be buried in the existing bund and is the first stop for most visitors to the park after passing through our Environment and Education Centre. The ‘Rainham Eye’ includes a large oculus window which provides generous views of the marshes for all visitors, as well as more secluded areas for keen birdwatchers.
