vHH was commissioned to produce a site masterplan to expand current primary school facilities and increase intake, as well as to upgrade and refurbish the existing buildings to ensure fit for purpose teaching environments for the future.
Two sites were identified as having the potential for this development, with the school expressing interest in a new early years building, a new dining hall, improved sports facilities and extra play space.
We were asked to produce an initial masterplan assessing the proposals, followed by a feasibility study establishing the pros and cons of each site. The site encompasses a designated Urban Open Land and Conservation Area and we produced a Vision Statement with the school to accompany the planning application for the works.
